About WunderGraph

WunderGraph Cosmo is an open-source platform for building and running federated GraphQL APIs, also called a supergraph. It supports Apollo Federation v1 and v2 and includes a schema registry, schema composition checks, breaking change detection, federated subscriptions, analytics, and distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry. The router is open source under the Apache 2.0 license and can be self-hosted or used as a managed service.

Beyond the core router, Cosmo offers Connect, which lets backend teams write plain gRPC services while the router handles GraphQL query planning and entity resolution; Streams, which pushes events from Kafka, NATS, or Redis to clients; and an MCP Gateway that exposes approved graph operations as tools for AI agents. A separate product, WunderGraph Hub, adds collaborative schema design, proposals, and ownership for governance.

The platform targets platform teams, consumer teams, and engineering leadership at organizations scaling federation across many subgraphs. Customers named on the site include eBay, SoundCloud, NerdWallet, Luxury Presence, and Soundtrack Your Brand. The company lists SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 compliance.
