About watchflow
watchflow is a heartbeat monitoring service for automation workflows built in n8n, Make.com and Microsoft Power Automate. It sends Slack or email alerts when a workflow fails, stops running, or keeps reporting success while moving no data. Native drag-and-drop modules plug into each platform, and an HTTP API covers other tools.
Instead of a hard-coded cron interval, watchflow learns each workflow's weekly rhythm from past pings, including which days are quiet, and flags a run as missed only when an expected heartbeat does not arrive within a grace period. In n8n, setup involves one global Error Trigger workflow for failed runs and a success node at the end of each monitored workflow. Custom properties such as records processed can be attached to each heartbeat and appear on the monitor.
