About VoltPilot

VoltPilot is a mobile app for iOS and Android that helps electric vehicle drivers find charging stations and plan road trips with charging stops. It draws on more than 100,000 chargers from OpenChargeMap, shown on an interactive map and filterable by connector type (CCS, CHAdeMO, Tesla/NACS, Type 2, J1772), power level and network. No account, login, name or email is required.

Drivers enter an origin and destination to see route distance, duration and chargers along the way. Selecting an EV make and model auto-filters compatible connectors and adds suggested charging stops and a battery arrival estimate. Each charger can get an AI-generated summary, powered by Claude, of its details and user reviews, with a note that summaries may be inaccurate. Directions open in Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze with one tap, and favorites can be saved on the device.

The free tier includes ads and daily limits on routes and AI insights. VoltPilot Pro removes ads, lifts those limits under fair use, and adds live charger status where available, detour distance, station tariffs, and trip cost and CO₂ savings estimates.
