Viewmento is a Chrome extension that captures highlights from videos and helps users retain them through spaced repetition. It aims to keep useful ideas from getting lost in a watch history by building a searchable library of captured video moments and quick notes.
The product works through three mechanics. Ghost Capture lets users hold the B key to grab a highlight without breaking focus, or let Viewmento capture highlights passively. Daily Drop delivers daily flashcards drawn from past captures to encourage active recall. The Knowledge Library is opened by clicking the extension icon, where users can search their saved insights and jump back to the original moment in the video.
Viewmento is aimed at people who learn online. The site names professionals extracting key points from training and business content, students taking notes on lectures, creators researching competitor videos, and researchers organizing information from various sources. The extension is free to add to Chrome, and a lifetime license is offered during early access.
