Payment Link is a payment collection tool built on Stripe that gives small businesses and freelancers four ways to take payments. Users can send a payment request link by email, SMS, WhatsApp or Messenger, publish a dedicated payment page that is open 24/7, build a micro e-commerce page listing fixed-price products or services, or display a QR code for in-person and in-store payments.
Customers pay by Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card or debit card, with no physical card terminal or traditional merchant account required. Users connect an existing Stripe account or create one during onboarding, and funds go directly to their bank account. Pages can be branded with a logo and colours and hosted on a free Payment Link domain or a custom domain. The company states that customers pay in about 6 minutes on average.
The service is aimed at non-technical users across trades such as graphic designers, tutors, personal trainers, photographers, driving instructors, tradespeople, printing companies and estate agents. Plans include branded emails, branded invoices and dashboard reporting.

- Are there transaction fees?
- Stripe charges its own processing fees, for example 1.5% + 20p for standard UK cards, deducted automatically.
- Can I remove Payment Link branding?
- Removing Payment Link branding is listed only on the Enterprise plan.
