Ottex AI is a voice-to-text and AI meeting notetaker for macOS, with an iOS version available through TestFlight. Users place the cursor in any app, hold the Fn key, speak, and release; the text appears where the cursor is. Writing profiles hold custom instructions, such as a professional email format with a signature, and are applied automatically in chosen apps and websites. It removes filler words, applies spoken corrections, adds punctuation, supports a custom dictionary for names and terms, and offers voice snippets that insert saved text.
Dictation works in over 100 languages with automatic detection and mid-sentence language mixing. The meeting feature records and transcribes conversations and can draft follow-ups, CRM updates and tickets. Ottex can run local models such as Whisper, Parakeet, Qwen-ASR and Voxtral, use the customer's own API keys, or use managed Ottex AI.
It serves individuals, teams that need SSO, admin controls and centralized billing, and enterprises that require self-hosted backends, their own cloud or VPC, or models on their own GPUs. Audio and text are not used for training.
