Merlin brings Claude Code and Codex agents into Slack, Linear, and GitHub so teams can hand work to AI agents where they already collaborate. Team members mention Merlin in a Slack thread, delegate a Linear issue, or comment on a GitHub pull request, and Merlin dispatches the task to an agent running on one of the team's own machines. Progress and results come back to the same thread, where anyone can follow along and steer the work.
The agents run on the team's computers using existing Claude and Codex subscriptions, so there are no API keys and no separate model bill. Setup involves installing the desktop app or CLI, signing in, and inviting Merlin to chosen Slack channels, where it can respond only when mentioned or proactively. Shared features include a workspace skill catalog, recurring schedules, workspace and channel memory, and access controls for devices, skills, memory, and schedules.

- Every task Merlin runs, including Slack mentions or DMs, Linear or GitHub requests, thread follow-ups it picks up, and each scheduled run.
- Does Merlin see all Slack messages?
- It only sees a channel's content once invited, and each channel can be set to mention-only or proactive responses.
- How does the Team trial work?
- An owner or admin can start a 14-day Team trial without a credit card; without a payment method the workspace returns to Free.
