About Kortex
Kortex is an AI-powered note-taking and writing app positioned as a "second brain." It brings ideas, notes, highlights and long-form writing into one workspace. Users capture ideas to specific notes, then use the built-in assistant, kAI, to synthesize them into fleshed-out notes, summarize YouTube videos and highlights, or give editing advice using documents as context. It includes 25+ prebuilt workflows for content creation, marketing, learning and planning.
The editor uses a pane navigation system for referencing documents, highlights and captures while writing, plus a focus mode. Kortex Elements support templates and outlines. Search covers tags, related words, document contents and highlights. Highlights from PDFs, books, tweets and articles are stored in a searchable library, with Readwise integration. Workspaces can be exported as markdown, and documents can be shared.
The site lists creators, writers, marketers, teams, note-takers and students as its audience. The homepage also states that Kortex is becoming Eden, a new venture, and that current users can sign into Eden.
