About Hyrax AI
Hyrax is an AI code review and codebase analysis tool that connects to GitHub repositories. After the GitHub App is installed, it runs a discovery pass that maps a repository's services, dependencies, conventions and architecture, writing the results into the repo as HYRAX.md and a .hyrax/discovery folder so human contributors and AI coding agents share the same context.
Six specialized agents then evaluate the code across security, correctness, maintainability, performance, architecture and operations, producing prioritized findings that teams can fix or dismiss. Approved fixes pass a 13-step verification process in an isolated worktree, covering baseline and post-change tests, build, lint, formatting, a diff size limit, a second agent review and a re-scan, before being opened as a GitHub pull request. Hyrax never merges on its own. It also reviews every pull request with a summary comment and a GitHub check, and can be triggered from Linear or via webhooks.
Hyrax is aimed at engineering teams using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, Codex and Devin. Inference runs on AWS Bedrock, and the company states it does not train on customer code.
