About Helpin

Helpin is an open-source workspace that combines customer support, meetings, projects, CRM and knowledge docs, with specialist AI agents working from a shared customer history. Support inboxes handle chat and email, meetings are recorded and summarized into action items, projects track tasks, epics and sprints, and the CRM keeps contacts, deals and emails together.

Named agents handle specific jobs: Echo answers support tickets, Scribe plans changes, Forge writes code, Lens reviews it, Beacon suggests sales follow-ups and Quill updates help docs. Teams set approval rules per agent, choose which tools and connected services each can use, and trigger runs on schedules, task stage changes or GitHub and GitLab events. External agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor can connect through Helpin's MCP server, and APIs and SDKs add support chat to an app.

Helpin positions itself as an alternative to Intercom and Linear and is built for SaaS teams. It can be self-hosted under AGPL-3.0 via Docker Compose with the team's own AI provider, or used as Helpin Cloud with AI usage included.

Helpin FAQ

Can Helpin be self-hosted?
Yes. The open-source Community edition is free under AGPL-3.0 and deploys with Docker Compose; the team covers hosting and AI provider costs.
Is pricing per seat?
No. Cloud plans are priced per workspace with unlimited teammates.
What happens when the AI allowance runs out?
Overage is off by default, so new AI work is declined until the monthly allowance renews; paid plans can enable metered overage.
