Frozen Security is a Bitcoin self-custody signing system in which the private key is a titanium plate rather than a chip. Unlike hardware wallets that protect a key stored digitally, Frozen derives the key only at the moment of signing, in volatile memory, and then clears it, so no digital key exists between uses.
The workflow has three steps. A smartphone builds an unsigned transaction and sends it to the signer via NFC. The user inserts the plate, the signer derives the key, signs, and clears everything. The signed transaction then returns to the phone, and the app broadcasts it, so the signer never touches the internet. The device uses two hardware-isolated microcontrollers, with the NFC communications layer physically disconnected from the signing layer during signing. A US patent application is pending.
The site also offers free browser tools, including a BIP-39 entropy generator, a seed visualizer and a hole pattern decoder, plus technical articles on custody. The product is currently available by pre-order through a waitlist and is aimed at Bitcoin holders who prefer physical security for their keys.

Frozen Security FAQ
- How is Frozen different from a hardware wallet?
- Hardware wallets protect a key that always exists digitally, while Frozen derives the key only at signing and discards it afterward.
- How are transactions sent to the network?
- The smartphone app builds the unsigned transaction, sends it via NFC to the signer, and broadcasts the signed result; the signer never connects to the internet.
- Can I buy it now?
- The device is on pre-order, and first units go to the waitlist, which requires only an email and no commitment.
