FlashPrompt is a browser extension for Chrome and Edge that stores and reuses AI prompts. Prompts can be inserted into any text field by typing a dash followed by a keyword, such as "-email", and a space, which replaces the keyword with the saved content. Typing / opens a fuzzy search that finds prompts by partial matches as the user types.
New prompts can be added by selecting text on any page and clicking the extension icon, and a management interface handles adding, editing and organizing them. The extension works with AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, Grok and Perplexity, as well as other sites where text is typed, so it can also hold reusable snippets like email replies. All data is stored locally in the browser, and Pro users can import and export prompts as CSV.
FlashPrompt is sold as a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. The company lists team collaboration, template sharing and AI optimization suggestions as upcoming features and is collecting sign-ups for a planned desktop app.
