About CurlShot
CurlShot takes screenshots of web pages, either from a box on its website or through an HTTP API. A user pastes a page address, chooses the whole page or just the top, picks a computer, phone or tablet view, and saves the result as an image (PNG, JPEG or WebP) or a PDF. Ads and cookie pop-ups can be hidden on most sites, and trying it requires no account or installation.
For developers, the same features are available as a screenshot API: one request returns an image or PDF of a URL, or of HTML or Markdown sent directly. Paid and free plans include video capture (MP4, WebM, GIF), async renders with webhooks, bulk requests, a response cache and signed links. Pages behind a login can be captured by passing cookies or headers. For AI agents there is an MCP server, an OpenAPI description and an llms.txt map, plus an n8n node.
Typical uses include keeping a record of how a page looked, checking a site on mobile, turning articles or invoices into PDFs, generating website thumbnails for directories and creating Open Graph images.
